Founded in 1967, Keeler launched as a small Mercedes-Benz dealership with only SIX employees. Our dealership serves as the main resource for the highly popular and luxurious Mercedes-Benz vehicles across the Capital Region. In the early 1970’s the dealership grew as we expanded with BMW and Honda. The six-man operation flourished. Fast-forward to today, we have added Mini, Alfa-Romeo, the Keeler Quality Pre-Owned Center, Collision Center, a Full-Service Body Shop, and a Detail Department. Even with all this growth, over 50 years later, we are still a family owned and operated business that has kept its core values right from the start. Honda Service Technician
Tech hours: M-F 7:30am- 5pm & 8:30am to 6pm one night a week (Every 3rd Saturday 7am-4pm)
Keeler Honda is expanding our service team following the opening of our all new 58,000sq/ft facility!
“Automotive Professional” is the only requirement we have for the few individuals we are looking to add. We will train and support those who want to be a Pro. Experience and skill are ideal but, we are willing to train those with a professional attitude and work ethic.
Base Pay (before bonuses) ranges from $18.00 - $37.50 per hour, based on experience and proficiency.
The average hourly pay of our techs in 2024- $33.80 per hour in the facility whereas flat rate techs averaged $44.12 per hour.
For experienced candidates with your own tools, toolboxes and roll carts will be provided so you can keep your personal toolbox at home, or we can Flatbed it out and to a location of your preference.
For inexperienced candidates with minimal personal tools, we will provide a mechanics roll cart stocked with all necessary tools.
NYS Inspector’s license is ideal but not required. We will pay for your NYS Inspectors certification following the mandated probation period. We have 2 mobile NYSI stations so you don’t need to leave your bay!
Current flat rate technician pay plan: Base hourly rate ($/hr) will be determined during the interview and will be based on experience level.
Premium-Pay tier scale will be added to your base pay and will be calculated based on your total flat rate hours/week. It will be added to EVERY flat rate hour back to 0.
Flat Rate Tier Scale:
0-50hrs/week = Base hourly rate
>50-65hrs additional $2/hr back to 0
>65-90hrs additional $5/hr back to 0
>90hrs additional$7.50/hr back to 0
Every vehicle that enters our shop has a video multipoint inspection made by the tech (paid $5 per video). These videos are accompanied by all related estimates for repairs and sent to the customer via text. The customer can immediately view and respond to our recommendations reducing wait times.
Flat rate techs are paid .5hrs per Honda training module.
CP = Warranty time x 1.7
Warranty labor times are calculated using Alldata.
Do you have the support and training you need at your current job? Our focus is to provide each tech with the support they need to make quality repairs, honest recommendations and peak flat rate hours. With more complicated diagnosis we WILL NOT leave you stranded nor unpaid for the time you’ve spent. We have all the individuals in place to either: aid or completely take over and review findings of complicated diagnosis that may be dragging you down.
